Four seasons bird fabric strips

Four fabric strips depicting birds found in Britain during the four seasons:

Spring garden - house sparrow, greenfinch, gold crest, blue tit, chaffinch, great tit, wren, blackbird and dunnock.

Summer meadow - swallow, skylark, mistle thrush, stonechat, corn bunting, tree sparrow, turtle dove, whitethroat and yellow wagtail.

Autumn woodland - tawny owl, bullfinch, coal tit, jay, nuthatch, siskin, great spotted woodpecker, song thrush and treecreeper.

Winter hedgerow - redwing, goldfinch, long-tailed tit, starling, robin, yellow hammer, linnet, waxwing and fieldfare.

The fabric is suitable for patchwork, quilting, epp, textile art and many other crafts.

Each strip is approximately 4 inches (10 cm) x 35-36 inches (89-91 cm). The fabric is 100% organic cotton sateen and the background is white. It can be washed at 30 degrees and when first washed, will shrink by approximately 1/4 inch. It is a good idea to wash the strip in an enclosed cotton bag or pillowcase to reduce fraying.

Please note: Each image 'square' is approximately 4 x 4 inches. This is not exact, because of the nature of fabric, and so the marks are only a rough guideline for cutting. To make 3 x 3 inch image quilt squares, cut each into 3 1/2 inch squares, with the image at the centre,  and use 1/4 inch seams.
